The happy hour at Michoacán Gourmet Mexican Restaurant in Centennial Hills runs 2 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. House margaritas are $8 ($11 for a jumbo), house wine and well drinks are $7, and beer is $4.50 for imports and domestics or $5.50 for draft.

- Cadillac Margarita, $10 ($14 jumbo): the upgraded pour, and worth the extra $2.
- Nachos, $9.50: the easy shareable for the table.
- Sopitos, steak or chorizo, $10.

This is a neighborhood happy hour built for locals, not tourists. It’s close to home for the northwest valley, the parking is easy, and it costs about half what a Strip margarita does. The restaurant has offered “hundreds” of tequilas for years, so if the house pour gets boring, there’s room to explore.
One caveat: happy hour is weekdays only, so don’t plan a Saturday around it. Show up at 2, order the Cadillac, and settle in with the nachos.
