A pint-and-shot combo named “Up in Smoke” that pairs mezcal with cherry juice โ this isn’t a normal pizza happy hour, and that’s the point. Pizza Rock in Downtown Las Vegas runs a “Pints and Shots” happy hour menu that reads more like a dive bar’s drink list than a pizzeria’s, paired with pies cooked across Neapolitan, Classic Italian, Classic American, Sicilian, Roman and gluten-free styles out of four different ovens.
Order This: $5 PBR, $9 cocktails, and personal-size pizzas starting at $8 during the weekday window. If you want a pint with a kick, the menu’s combo specials pair a 16oz draft like Modelo Especial with a shot of Patron Silver, salt and lime for one price โ order one and split it, the pours are generous.
This is a pizzeria built by three friends โ George Karpaty, Tony Gemignani, and Trevor Hewitt โ who treat the room like nightlife as much as a restaurant, complete with DJs Thursday through Saturday. Downtown doesn’t do quiet, polished happy hours โ it does loud rooms with good pizza and a drink list that doesn’t take itself too seriously. That’s Pizza Rock, and it’s why locals treat it as a stop on the Fremont crawl, not just a pizza place.
Happy hour runs weekdays โ Mondays through Thursdays, 3 to 6 p.m. No reservation needed, but expect a wait on DJ nights.
