Gaetano’s still runs one of the most generous happy hours in the valley. The meatballs are made with filet mignon, veal and pork, and happy hour still prices them at $10 for two. Start with the fried lasagna for $12, because nobody else in Henderson is doing it. Add a $10 Sicilian Old Fashioned with Amaro Averna, Wild Turkey 101 and spiced Demerara syrup, a serious cocktail at a happy hour price. Then come back at 8 p.m. for reverse happy hour, when full dinner entrées are 50% off with any drink. That’s the $60 filet for $30. Henderson locals already know. Now you do too.

The Story
Gaetano’s opened in 2002 as one of the first fine dining restaurants in what was then a fast growing part of Henderson. Today the second generation, Nick and Sarah Palmeri, run the show. They’ve earned Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence along with certifications in mixology, spirits and wine, and you can taste it in every glass. The bar bites and cocktails are built for happy hour, not leftovers from the dinner menu.

The Reverse Happy Hour
This is the underrated move. From 8 to 9 p.m. every night, full dinner entrées are 50% off with any drink, including the $60 filet and the house made pastas. Grab a bar seat and order like a regular.
