Kat Thomas is Ada’s “Wine Goddess” and an advanced sommelier. She built a list that’s won Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence and The World of Fine Wine’s Most Original Wine List two years running, and none of that ambition gets stripped out during happy hour. Chef de Cuisine Jackson Stamper’s shareable plates hold up at these prices too, which says something about a restaurant confident enough not to phone in its cheaper hours. Ada’s moved from Tivoli Village into the Arts District, joining a wave of chefs building something personal in this neighborhood instead of chasing Strip foot traffic.
Happy Hour runs daily, 3 to 5 p.m. and again from 9 p.m. to close. Enter on California Street.
