North Las Vegas doesn’t have many fine dining options, and Carve Prime Rib at the Cannery Casino is the one locals point to when someone asks. The Carve Prime Rib happy hour runs Wednesday through Sunday, 4 to 6 PM, with discounted beer, wine, cocktails and appetizers in the bar and lounge.
Order This: the 40-day-aged prime rib โ reviewers call it the best in town, and the bar menu gives you a reason to order it before dinner prices kick in. The Blackberry Bite cocktail โ Knob Creek bourbon, blackberry mint infusion, angostura bitters, and simple syrup โ is the signature drink and worth ordering once. Happy hour specials include discounted beer, wine, cocktails and appetizers; confirm current pricing at the bar.
Carve is the kind of steakhouse that exists because a neighborhood needs one โ not because it’s chasing press or awards. The lounge and bar area have multiple TVs and a separate bar menu, so you can eat and drink well without committing to a full dinner reservation. Reviewers consistently single out the service as the thing that keeps them coming back, which says something about a casino restaurant that doesn’t have the foot traffic of the Strip to coast on. If you’re north of the 215 and want a proper steakhouse bar, this is where you go.
Happy hour runs Wednesday through Sunday, 4 to 6 PM, in the bar and lounge. Reservations are recommended for the dining room; bar seating is walk-in.
